Brewery Gas Detection
TQ Environmental’s products work to mitigate the risk through brewery gas detection, as there are many hazards/risks associated with the manufacturing of alcohol and its by-products involved with the manufacturing of alcohol for human consumption or for part of a chemical process involving substantial plant equipment, and if not kept checked, the areas can soon become very dangerous.
Furthermore, there is always a background of CO2 with the fermentation of alcohol, and the areas around the vessels would need to have a fixed brewery gas detection system. It should monitor for flammable gasses as well as CO2 gas. Many additional gasses are used, like Ethanol/Methanol and Nitrogen. These also need to be monitored to help safeguard any employees working within the process areas.

Gas Management
Gas management in your brewery is important since there could be leaks from any part of the process, cracks in a tank, transfer pumps, fermentation vessels, and pipework, whilst every step is taken to reduce risk from mechanical parts that wear. These Gas detection systems should be positioned to meet DSEAR standards and regularly tested with appropriate test/calibration equipment.
Systems can be tailored to suit the needs of the manufacturing process.
Systems that can be used are.
- TQ8000 TOUCH up to 48 Sensors
- TQ4200 up to 24 sensing points
- TQ4300 up to 24 sensing points
- TQ4000 up to 4 sensors
- TQ126 – 1 sensor
