Pharmaceutical Gas Detection
Pharmaceutical gas detection plays a vital role within the pharmacy industry, with the ever-increasing need to monitor the manufacturing process to provide leak detection against flammable and or toxic risks. Whether it’s for part of the manufacturing process or as a by-product resulting from the manufacture, the process may require a chiller to be used in order to freeze the product, and this would need refrigerant leak gas detection for either ammonia, HFC, or CFC.
Bulk chemical storage for the manufacturing process would also need to be monitored, again for health and safety, as a risk of inhalation or as a flammable/toxic risk. The use of flammable liquids has one of the greatest risks of explosion. To learn more about how TQ Environmental can provide pharmacy gas detection, get in touch below.

When trying to reduce risk, this may also introduce a different risk, i.e. oxygen depletion due to the use of nitrogen as an inert gas that can be used to prevent explosive atmospheres. This would also then need to be monitored.
During the process, a gas leak sensor can indicate how the process is progressing or as a health and safety system that would predominantly shut down the process or plant.
Within the process, when the production run has finished, all equipment has to be cleaned with chemicals like chlorine, ozone/steam and other agents. These all can be monitored for their risk. Systems can also be tailored to suit the needs of the manufacturing process.
Systems that can be used are:
