Once again, the annual TQ golf day was held at Hollins Hall hotel golf and country club. Although not fantastic weather, the sun shone on occasionally, and it remained dry throughout the day.
20 players enjoyed a game of Texas scramble, broken down into 5 teams. Prizes were awarded for 1st and 2nd place and 4 nearest the pins, longest drive and this year we introduced a putting competition too. A good day’s golf was had by all, with team 3 consisting of Chris Beech (CDL), Sam Pepper (DJ Assembly), Steve Harwood (HLR) and Iain Wright (Macwright MES) taking the honours. Chris Beech also walked away with the trophy for the putting competition leaving his 30ft putt just a few inches from the hole. This year saw Nick Wilks (Fujitsu) win the longest drive.
Every team this year finished winning at least 1 prize each with the nearest the pins being won by a different team on each hole.
The evening saw all the players come together for a meal and prize giving ceremony, a hearty meal was enjoyed all washed down with a few beers and plenty of laughs.
A very successful event enjoyed by all, with several requests on the evening for their invite to the 2025 event.
We would like to thank all those that attended for coming along and giving up their time to support us in making this the great event that it is. We would like to thank Hollins Hall hotel, golf and country club for their hospitality and for looking after us so well, as they do year after year. We would also like to take this opportunity to say thanks to Debbie Beech for giving up her day and helping out in the morning and in the halfway house along with our very own Claire Morgan.
