
Service Department
Here at TQ Environmental, we pride ourselves on our excellent level of service. With over 70 years of gas detection experience within the service team, we have a wide range of experience working with TQ-manufactured equipment and our competitors’ panels.
We are able to offer a tailored solution to your servicing requirements and provide six-monthly, yearly or even quarterly visits if requested. A yearly visit will ensure that your leak detection system complies with all the latest regulations and give you the confidence that your system is functioning correctly and provides the protection you need.
TQ Environmental also provides a commissioning service for all of our new equipment once installed by a 3rd party install company. All of our systems undergo rigorous testing prior to being released for installation, and once commissioned, our engineers will provide full support and training on the system to the customer to ensure all parties concerned are happy with the functions of the leak detection system.
Here at TQ Environmental, we are able to offer long-term contracts, usually up to 3 years which will assist the customer with future planning and provide the customer with a fixed cost for a longer period allowing for better budgeting and cost forecasting. Our service work is all pre-planned, and therefore the customer can request future dates for site visits and thereby schedule times to suit them around plant shutdowns and such like.

Trained Engineers
During a service, our trained engineers will calibrate the system using certified calibration gasses and log all details found on a calibration sheet and also produce a written report for the customer detailing any issues found, including recommendations for future visits and replacement of parts or sensors.
They can also provide advice on sensor locations and the functionality of the system in place, and if an upgrade could be considered. Once complete, the customer is then emailed a completed copy of the calibration sheet and report to be kept for their own records. We also retain a copy at TQ to assist us with future planning on behalf of the customer.
Service visits are usually scheduled during the working week Mon-Fri; however, if a site dictates that no work can be carried out during this period, we can work around this and provide engineer support at either weekend or nighttime shutdowns.
We also offer support over the phone and can assist the site with technical assistance; if a problem cannot be resolved with a phone call, TQ will make every effort to get an engineer onsite at the earliest convenience.
All of our engineer’s work is audit traceable from Rams, Scope of works calibration gas and engineers’ calibration sheets and reports. We are also members of the Safe contractor scheme.
