Hotel Gas Detection
Refrigerant leaks can occur in hotels from faulty AC systems and this refrigerant can build up in occupied spaces, and can lead to serious health hazards, which is why hotel gas detection is critical. The rules for refrigerant leak detection requirements for occupied spaces such as hotel bedrooms, offices and other such spaces are contained within EN378. The rules dictate how much refrigerant is held within the VRF/VRV system, usually R410a or R32 refrigerant, which could then be released into a confined space (hotel bedroom).
Occupied spaces have a much greater risk than those that are not generally occupied or those that have a greater volume of space. If a large amount of refrigerant leaked into an occupied space, it would pose a threat of asphyxiation. That is why TQ Environment works to comply with our systems with refrigerant leak detection requirements, so get in touch with TQ Environmental and find out how you can limit potential refrigerant leaks in your business.

Hotel Air Conditioning
Gas Protection
TQ Environmental manufacture a system which complies with EN378 and provides gas protection for those using the occupied spaces where air conditioning is present. The TQ31 is a standalone single-point refrigerant detector and alarm unit that is ideal for room monitoring and complying with refrigerant leak detection requirements.
This can be connected to a TQ32 area alarm panel to provide an external alarm and monitoring system which can provide coverage of up to 64 individual TQ31 sensors, and then in turn to a TQ35 reception panel, which is usually monitored on a 24-hour manned reception area.
