Gas Detection Leeds
During the pandemic in 2020, The Queens hotel closed its doors to enable a complete revamp of the hotel, which was to include a brand new air conditioning system to supply every bedroom individually the opportunity to cool the rooms in summer and heat them during the winter months.
The hotel had a leak detection system already in place; however, it was decided by both the hotel management and air conditioning contractor that it should be replaced with a modern solution to compliment the hotel’s new look and also give the reception staff the opportunity to monitor the bedrooms remotely, in case of a refrigerant leak from the air conditioning system. This would ensure both the customer’s and the staff’s health and safety were paramount and that they fully complied with the EN378 directive for the monitoring of occupied space where an air conditioning system was used.

How We Help
TQ Environmental’s TQ31 system was selected as the hotel’s most appropriate and suitable system. Not only can this be monitored by the reception staff using the TQ35 reception panel in conjunction with the TQ32 area alarm panel, but it can also be remotely monitored from an off-site location using a laptop computer and the IP address of the panel. The TQ31 individual room sensors also come in a variety of colours and finishes meaning that the hotel could pick something that would blend in with the room’s aesthetics.
